The mission of Christian Neighbors is to provide a safe place for people in our community who need food, rent and utility assistance, education, or other resources to help create stability in their lives. Christian Neighbors is a non-profit community agency serving individuals and families in Plainwell, Otsego, and Martin school districts.

Did you know that 35% of local residents living in Alamo, Cooper, Martin, Otsego and Plainwell are living in poverty? This equates to 1/3 of our neighbors not making enough money to cover their basic needs.
This means:
1 out of every 3 persons in line at the grocery store may not know where their next meal is going to come from.
1/3 of the kids in your child's classroom do not always have the basic necessities.
A third of those sharing the roads with you in your local community are probably worried about how they are going to pay rent and utilities.
